25 Weeks and Counting

This is my 25 week maternity picture and the first one I have posted. I have always been a little shy to show off the 'not so little' bump. Altough this is me at 25 weeks, Monday will be the 26th week mark! I'm so excited to be almost done with the second trimester. It has gone by so much quicker than the first. Thank goodness!! It also means one more week closer to our next doctor's appointment, which I have been extremely anxious for. Last week at our appointment I was measuring three weeks bigger than I should be at this point in my pregnancy. Our doctor said that it could be a number of things that are causing this to happen. One being I could have gestational diabetes, which we are praying and hoping isn't the case. The last thing I want is having to limit all those delicious sweets I have been craving. Second being water retention, which I would then have to be put on bed rest or the third and best case scenario is that our baby girl is just super healthy and growing quickly. Our doctor put it this way "You could just have a healthy placenta, and its just cooking your baby a little faster". If thats the case my due date will be moved up!! Who wouldn't be excited about that? So at my next appointment I will be getting another ultra-sound done. I'm nervous but I'm excited to get to see our little girl again! Along with the ultra-sound I will be taking the gestational diabetes test and getting my oh so favorite...a shot which will help the fact that I am RH-. Other than that things are going great and our little girl is healthy. I feel so blessed to have her and can't thank my Heavenly Father enough for the oppurtunity of becoming a mom. Although at times it is overwhelming and quite honestly, a little scary, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
