ChRiStMaS 2012

Christmas this year was a blast. We started it off by heading to Twin for the weekend before Christmas. We were able to spend time with family, open gifts, and again just enjoying being together. Christmas Eve morning we met up with my family at McDonalds for our traditional Christmas Eve breakfast. After Chris and I took Caden, Kate, Carter, and Brinley to see the live nativity scene at McKee's. We then spent the rest of the day relaxing and sledding out in Inkom. When it got dark we opened our pajama's and had a program about our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is always so nice to have a moment to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas. Of course, Christmas day was filled with opening gifts. Overall it was a great Christmas!!

4 Months Old!

Brinley is four months old as of yesterday!! I can't believe how fast time has gone, and how quickly she has grown. It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital. She is now smiling, giggling, and her new trick: screaming!! She finds it so entertaining, and for now we think its pretty cute too:) She loves her toys and gets so excited that she shakes. her favorite toy is a butterfly with crinkly wings and a bell inside. She hasn't rolled over yet, but is getting so close! She will roll over onto her side but that's as far as she dares go. On the downside she still is not the best napper. If she is being held, she will sleep for hours, but as soon as you lay her down its over. Hopefully she will get better as she gets older! I love this little girl so much and am so grateful to have such a sweet little girl in our home!

Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Yay for Christmas!! It is my favorite time of the year. I love the lights, trees, treats, smells, music, family, and everything else about the Christmas season. We have our tree up and decorated, the lights on the house, and the Christmas music cranked. So glad I get to spend this time with my family and to spend time to reflect on the birth of our amazing Savior!

Chris loves real trees, so for the last few Christmas' we have gone to the tree lot to find the perfect tree!

Brinley and Daddy! I would have to say that these are the two cutest people I have ever seen;)

All finished!

Brinley loves all the lights!

Blurry picture, but you get the idea
Lights on the outside! So fun to be able to hang lights around the house!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Herzinger Homestead

Although November is over, I would like to point out one thing that I was very grateful to receive this past month, a new home!! Rent at our last apartment was getting to be too much, and with baseboard heating, our electric bill was outrageous. So, we began looking for a new place to live. We looked for a few weeks and couldn't find anything. We were starting to get very discouraged. Fortunately, a family friend had her home that she was renting out open up. Now a little back story, the lady that was renting it before us was 83 years. We were wondering why she was moving at her age, and crazy enough we found out she was getting married!! Talk about a blessing in disguise! To make things better we were able to rent the home for less than what we were paying at our last apartment. It is small, but perfect for our little family. It has two bedrooms, one bath, a downstairs with a laundry area, and an extra bedroom/office. It has a great back yard and our own parking garage(at our old place we always had issues with parking, so this was a big deal). We absolutely love it here and feel so blessed to call it home!

Brinley Update!

I have been such a slacker lately when it comes to blogging! Brinley is now almost four months old, and growing like a weed. It amazes me how fast time has flown. She is now weighing in at a whopping 11 lbs.(she is so skinny for her age haha) and measuring at 25" long! I can't even begin to explain how much I love this little girl. Here are some fun things that have happened the last few months:
