I can't believe my baby girl is already 6 months old. Its been a half a year since she has joined our family and I have loved every minute of it. She has the cutest little personality and a smile that melts my heart. In the last week she has had her first cold, first ear infection, first all nighter, and her first tooth!

Let's Go Jazz!!

After having Brinley, date nights are very rare. But last Friday, Chris and I were able to leave Brinley at my parents (which was extremely hard for me...I almost cried) and head down to Salt Lake to watch the Utah Jazz!! Our close friends Cody and Kristy Funk were given some tickets from their parents and asked us if we wanted to tag along. Free tickets to a Jazz game, how could we pass that up? We left Poky after Chris had gotten off work and had a nice drive down to Salt Lake. We grabbed a bite to eat inside the Arena and then headed to our seats. We knew they were good seats, but we didn't realize how great they really were. Our seats were on the 14th row!! It was awesome! You could see the players faces and actually watch the court instead of the big screen. The Jazz were playing the Chicago Bulls and Chris had looked up each teams stats and predicted it would be a good game. It was a great game to watch, but unfortunately the Jazz lost by 4.
We weren't so lucky on the way home with roads. About 30 miles outside of Malad we got stuck right in the middle of a huge snow storm. There was about a foot of snow on the freeway. We pulled off in Malad to use a restroom and when we opened the doors, the snow was all the way to the bottom of the car. The roads just kept getting worse and we had slowed down to about 30 mph. We finally made it back to Inkom around 3am. Even though the roads on the way back were rough and a  2.5 hour drive home turned into 4, it was still great and a lot of fun! Thanks Cody and Kristy for inviting us to come along!!

Brinley's Nursery

I have finally completed Brinley's nursery!! I have been so anxious to get it done. In our old apartment we had two bedrooms, but the second was filled with Chris' desk, our guest bed, and everything else we didn't have room for. Because of that, having a nursery there was a no go. I was pretty sad about not getting to do all the fun decorating. But in our new home, Brinley got her own room and the decorating began.
This dresser has quite the history. Chris' Grandpa Keller made this for Chris' Uncle Roger when he was born. There is a slice in the dresser from when one of the boys received a real tool set for Christmas and took their saw to it haha. Not only that but on the inside of the drawers Chris' mom and Uncle Roland had written Tamara +her crush from middle school as well as Roland's. There is just so many memories that go along with dresser, I just had to keep it.
So here is the before:

Here is the after (idea from Pinterest of course):

I must say, I love it. I am pretty impressed that I actually pulled it off, since I have no artistic ability what so ever!
Here are the very cheap frames I spray painted and that are collaged above her dresser:

I must point out the adorable rocking chair in the corner. I bought that at the DI for $5! Score!!!

After seeing all the adorable trees on pinterest, I had to have one in her room. I thought it would fit perfectly with the touch of owls that are in her room. So of course, my mom being oh so talented drew and painted this amazing tree! I love it and it just ties the room together.

And of course I had to post a few pictures of the beautiful girl this room belongs too!!
